I would like to recount an incident involving one of our clients. The spouse and twin children were given an extension within a few days, without needing to use the priority service.
Unfortunately, after the UK Immigration eVisa accounts were set up, the children's expiry date still showed the previous visa that expired last month, instead of the extension. This was understandably frustrating for our client, who spent a significant amount of time on the phone with different Home Office departments.
We recommend entrusting such matters to professionals, as the Home Office tends to respond promptly to requests from immigration solicitors.
Due to numerous issues the Home Office has created a new reporting system which warrants reply within 10 working days
We fear that many similar issues will arise in future, especially after eVisa becomes mandatory, i.e., after 1 January 2025, so please contact us to help you and provide you with certified copy of your eVisa, to keep a hard copy in your pocket when travelling abroad. It might save you a lot of stress, upon your return to the UK, if there is problem with the UK eVisa portal.
